Alcott HR Group came out in full force for their first year of participation in the Marcum Workplace Challenge on July 26th. The Marcum Workplace Challenge has been going strong since 2005 and since its inception has raised over $150,000 for several local charities. This year’s event benefitted the Children’s Medical Fund of New York, Long Island Children’s Museum, and Long Island Cares – Harry Chapin Food Bank.
Participants had the choice to run or walk the 3.5 mile course in what is widely-recognized as Long Island’s largest participatory event and greatest “Office Picnic.” The event drew over 6,300 participants from over 200 area businesses including over 50 CEOs/most senior staff members.
All 14 members of Team Alcott crossed the finish line. Congratulations to Lou and Diane Basso, Kimberly Alarcon, Matt Zinser, Bob Chanin, Pat Patane, Madeleine Marambio, Doreen Herold, Dawn Brown, Athena People, Janice Crosley, Ken and Debbie Jacoby and Jestina Collins.
