Alcott HR Group Announces Appointment of Kairy Marquez as Benefits Administrator

Alcott HR Group would like to announce the appointment of Kairy Marquez as Benefits Administrator. Her responsibilities will encompass the administration of benefit plans, enrollments, terminations, client and employee questions, claim issues, open enrollment, new plan administration, new hire orientations and leave of absence management. 

Directly prior to joining Alcott, Kairy served as a Benefits Administrator for Perfumania Holdings.  In this role, her responsibilities were broad ranging from the administration and management of employee leaves such as under the Family Medical and Leave Act, application of online insurance systems to process new hires and terminations, as well as maintain and run reports to track benefits status; to benefits compliance, the preparation of COBRA notices,  management of benefit department payable invoices and work-related injury claims, serving as the primary back-up to the company’s Benefits Manager, and the coordination of company events including health seminars, blood drives, flu programs and fundraising events. 

In addition to her position at Perfumania, Kairy’s career includes her roles as an Executive Assistant with Hales & Company, Leadership Coordinator with the El Puente Beacon Program  and Receptions/Administrative Assistant at Adam Personnel. 

Kairy  holds a Master’s in Human Resource Management from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor’s in Human Services & Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). 

Kairy is an active member of the community. Her current civic and philanthropic activities include her role as an Executive Committee Member and Vocalist for the Catholic music band and young adult ministry New Name. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Pastoral Institute of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
