The Western New York Division of Alcott HR is proud to announce the appointment of Tim Finney, PHR as Human Resources Advisor. He brings to the role over 17 years of experience in the HR industry including roles in management and business development.
Directly prior to joining Alcott HR, Finney served as Regional Manager with Superior Staff Resources, where his contributions included increasing regional revenue growth year-over-year in 2011 by 46%. He was also credited with co-creating and leading a successful sales training team which resulted in significant client revenue increases.
In addition to his career at Superior Staff Resources, Finney served as the Recruitment & Retention Manager for the Catholic Health System. His achievements while at the Catholic Heath System included: establishing Executive Recruiter and Educational Liaison positions, consolidating temporary staffing vendors, reducing staffing expenditures, rolling out a web-based applicant tracking system, and developing new recruiting tools. He also served as a Branch Manager for Ablest Staffing Services.
Finney received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Niagara University and his Human Resource Professional Certification from Cornell University’s School of Industrial Labor Relations. Additionally, he holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credential from the Society of Human Resources Management and a Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) designation, an employment law accreditation, from the American Staffing Association.
Finney’s professional and civic affiliations include the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association for which he currently is the Strategic Partnership Chair and serves as a member of its Awards and Nominations Committee. He previously served as the Strategic Partnership Director and HR Student Liaison to Niagara University. He is past member of the Buffalo Niagara Professional Alliance, HR/NY for which was on the Membership Team and a Social Committee Co-Chair Member. An active member of the community, he is a multiple time Extra Mile Club Member with Ride for Roswell and a Softball Coach at both St. Christopher’s Parish and the Amherst Girls Softball league, both AA and AAA.
