The Alcott Group Announces the Appointment of Michelle Dean, PHR as Employee Relations Specialist

The Alcott Group (Farmingdale and Buffalo, NY), one of New York State's most prominent Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) with divisions on Long Island and in Buffalo, NY, recently announced that Michelle Dean, PHR has joined the Company as a Employee Relations Specialist. Ms. Dean will be responsible for serving Alcott's over 350 affiliated companies/clients and their combined employees totaling over 4,500, handling their various inquiries relating to Human Resources policies and procedures, as well as regulatory compliance with workplace legislation. In addition, her responsibilities will include the drafting of employee handbooks and employee training assignments. She will report directly to the company's Director of Human Resources and Director of Employee Relations and Counsel. She brings over 14 years of Human Resources experience to her new position.
 
Directly prior to joining Alcott, Ms. Dean served as a Human Resources Generalist with Coastal Capital (Greenvale, NY), where she served for three years. Her career also includes a position as a Human Resources Representative and then Executive Assistant with Goldman Sachs (New York, NY); an organization she served for 11-1/2 years.

Ms. Dean holds the prestigious PHR certification, which is awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, an organization affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This credential signifies that she possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating her high proficiency within the field of Human Resource management.

Ms. Deans holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in the Workplace from SUNY Empire State. An active member of the local community, she is a PTA member and fundraiser for her daughter's elementary school, and a Girl Scout Leader.

She resides in Lynbrook, NY with her husband of 20 years, Joseph, and their 10-year old daughter, Jennifer.
