Janice L. Crosley, Payroll Specialist at The Alcott Group, Earns FPC Designation

The Alcott Group (Farmingdale, NY and Buffalo, NY), one of New York State's most prominent Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) providing a comprehensive Human Resources outsourcing solution, announced that Payroll Specialist Janice L. Crosley, serving in the Farmingdale office, has earned the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation awarded by the American Payroll Association (San Antonio, TX). To gain the FPC credential, Ms. Crosley had to successfully pass a comprehensive three-hour examination.

As a payroll specialist at Alcott since October 2001, Ms. Crosley is involved in all aspects of payroll processing, billing, direct deposits and customer service on behalf of Alcott's over 200 affiliated companies and their combined employee base of 4,000. Prior to joining Alcott, Ms. Crosley served as an Accounts Payable/Payroll Processor at Spearhead Consultants.

Ms. Crosley is a member of the National American Payroll Association (APA) and the local APA of Long Island.

Ms. Crosley attended Mansfield Business College (Spartanburg, SC) and holds a Certification in Automated Accounting.

An active member of the community, she participates in HOPE Worldwide, a not-for-profit organization that helps the needy worldwide. Among her recent activities with HOPE Worldwide was to help facilitate its children's immunization drive. In addition, Ms. Crosley is a member of the New York City Church of Christ, Queens Region and along with her husband, Colin, serves as a member of the Marriage Committee and as Rockaway Team Leaders for the Bible Discussion Group.

She resides in Arverne, NY with her husband, Colin and daughter, Ernesta. The couple also has a son serving in the U.S. Navy, a daughter in South Carolina and three grandchildren.
