WNY Division Announces New Human Resources Assistant, Shannon Mann

The Alcott Group has announced the appointment of Shannon Mann as a Human Resources Assistant in the company's Western New York Division located in Buffalo, New York. Ms. Mann is serving in the company's Human Resources Department with responsibility for a wide range of administrative and support functions. Among her responsibilities are: assisting clients and employees in various HR matters; coordinating and maintaining new employee and termination documentation; processing pre-employment screens; responding to and coordinating unemployment inquiries, filings and verification requests; assisting in the development of client employee handbooks and job descriptions; and assisting in special projects..
Directly prior to joining The Alcott Group, Ms. Mann served as a Payroll Coordinator/ Human Resource Assistant with National Action Financial Services (Buffalo, NY). There, she was involved in such HR functions as entering new hire demographics, benefits selections and tax information; tracking employee vacation, sick and holiday hours, as well as employees hours; performing monthly benefit meetings for new employees; and compiling financial reports relating to employee eligibility for incentives, bonuses and non-monetary rewards.
Ms. Mann graduated from Medaille College (Buffalo, NY) with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She also holds an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities from Erie Community College (Buffalo, NY).
